New Media Recordings started in 2006 and is a full New Media production studio, boutique imprint publisher, and creative venue. We tend to specialize in the esoteric, the obscure, the well thought through, and the well intentioned. Any aspect of production of every medium of art, we probably have our hands in it. We love to work on new and different things, just give us a shout. 

James Talambas is a multidisciplinary new media artist, composer and DJ. He employs technology, acoustics and improvisation to create site-specific and performer-specific electro-acoustic works that interact with and manipulate the architectural, social, and auditory spaces they inhabit. As the owner of New Media Recordings in Fort Worth, he writes scores and sound design for films, and has also produced pieces for international artists. 

"Music has always been the way I could connect with people and the world around me. Since a young age, I struggled with mental health, diagnosed with severe depression, psychosis, anxiety, and ASD. verbal expression was difficult, but when I sat down at the piano, I found I could speak clearly. I enjoyed expanding what music can be, and how sound can be expression. During my composition studies at the University of Texas at Arlington, I studied this further. I started experimenting with musicians surrounding the audience, creating an immersive sound with new electronics and full compositions. I began working towards the creation of environments that could change a person’s visceral perception by using frequency, dynamic, sound collage, tone, color, space, time, and technology. "
